Cedar Rapids, IA – May 14, 2019 – For the fifth time in company history, Geonetric has been certified as a Freedom-Centered Workplace by WorldBlu, a global organization committed to promoting freedom and democracy in the workplace. In its 20th year of operation, Geonetric, a digital agency and software developer for the healthcare industry, is continuously recognized for its exceptional work culture through local, regional, national, and global awards.

Thirty-three organizations from around the world were named this year, up from 20 in 2018. All told, nearly 200 companies across industries have received the award, which certifies them as sustainable democratic workplaces against WorldBlu’s 10 Principles of Organizational Democracy such as transparency and accountability.

WorldBlu’s research shows that 75 percent of workplace culture is shaped by an organization’s systems and processes. Using its rigorous Freedom at Work Scorecard, WorldBlu identified organizations with 10 or more employees and $1 million or more in revenue whose systems and processes are substantially democratic, rather than rigidly hierarchical.
