UX Audit, Iterative Design Give Website a User-Friendly Facelift
Website Design & User Experience
Burke Rehabilitation, a NY-based physical and medical rehabilitation provider, worked with Geonetric and VitalSite® to launch a user-driven, mobile-optimized website in 2023.
One year later, new marketing leadership came aboard with a goal to further improve the website and put the Burke Rehabilitation brand front and center.

Goals
Goal #1
Conduct a user experience (UX) audit to identify opportunities for iterative design and content changes.
Goal #2
Improve how users utilize the website without starting a redesign from scratch.
Goal #3
Use data to make strategic, informed decisions about the future of the website.
The Work
Starting with a solid foundation
Burke’s new website had driven a 46% increase in conversion rate and a 29% increase in pages viewed by users per session — but the team knew there was still room for improvement.
Discovering data
The UX assessment led the team to data that hadn’t been collected until they moved their website to the VitalSite content management system.
Iterative ideas
Burke’s design updates included changes on the homepage and service line landing page and updated styling on several elements that appear throughout the site, such as the site’s color scheme and the layout of its main navigation. The organization’s service line content was also refreshed to align better with Burke’s business goals.
Looking to the future
Burke is looking forward to maintaining the website as a powerful, user-friendly marketing tool that can help raise the organization’s profile along with their other marketing initiatives.
I don’t think we’ve harnessed yet the full value and potential that the website can offer us. Building a brand is not an overnight proposition. With the help of Geonetric, I think we really push forward with that agenda, in terms of advancing our reputation on a national level.
