Southern Regional Health System Extends Relationship with Geonetric, Launches New Intranet
Flexible Web software is the foundation of new intranet that builds brand and showcases transparency.
Cedar Rapids, IA - July 26,
2010 - Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, recently launched a new employee intranet for Southern Regional Health System (SRHS) and its more than 2,000 employees. The new site enhances SRHS's employee relationships, offering information that is easy to locate and improving communication and transparency. 
Building on the success of SRHS's public site which Geonetric launched in June 2009, the intranet aligns closely with SRHS's online brand. The new intranet, called "inside Southern Regional" utilizes Geonetric's VitalSite platform, which allows SRHS to distribute content ownership to many departments while maintaining control over brand standards. In addition, VitalSite's flexibility allows SRHS to leverage many of its in-house applications, such as the employee directory.

The new intranet provides a centralized place for employees to access important, health system information, including timely messages from the CEO. The homepage and interior pages boast custom photo sliders which are tailored to showcase employees in different departments. It also provides a Google weather feed and an RSS feed which pulls top news from SRHS's public site. QuickLinks offer easy access from the homepage to sections designed for specific audiences such as new employees and managers.
