Presentation highlights usability research and adoption statistics of Genesis' newly unveiled patient portal.
Cedar Rapids, IA - October 30, 2009 - Geonetric, Inc., a leading online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, will be speaking at the 13th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, one of healthcare's most respected marketing and Internet conferences. The conference will be held November 2-4, 2009 in Las Vegas.
Ben Dillon, Geonetric's Vice President and eHealth Evangelist, along with Ken Croken, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing for Genesis Health System, will be presenting: "Connecting Physicians and Patients on the Web" on November 4, 2009 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
The presentation discusses the online patient experience and provides insights into how to help physicians understand the value the Web offers. The presentation will feature a case study that illustrates the impressive adoption rates for Genesis' new patient portal. The presenters will also share results from usability research about how potential patients search for and interact with doctors online. That research helped lay the framework of success for Genesis' portal.
"Patient portals are an important topic right now," says Dillon. "Organizations are tackling portal adoption issues, both with internal stakeholders such as physicians and with health consumers. This presentation will provide those organizations with concrete examples of how to improve task completion, improve the overall patient online experience, and improve internal buy-in."
