Three Nonprofits to Receive New Website during Geonetric’s Operation Overnight Charity Event
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – September 11, 2018 – Three local nonprofit organizations will receive a new website during Geonetric’s 2018 Operation Overnight event. They include: Chains Interrupted, Deafinitely Dogs, and the Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation.
The nonprofit organizations were selected from a pool of applications. Qualified nonprofits must be a 501(c)(3) organization based in Linn County, Iowa. Applicants were asked to share how a new website and/or digital marketing services would help them accomplish their missions in the community.
Geonetric, which builds websites and provides digital marketing services for healthcare clients, launched Operation Overnight in 2012. During this event, Geonetric developers, designers, writers and strategists set aside two days to deliver websites and digital marketing services to local nonprofits free of charge.
To date, Operation Overnight has built and launched websites for 30 area nonprofits. The seventh annual Operation Overnight will begin on Thursday, October 25 at 8 a.m. The new websites will be unveiled during a reveal party at noon on October 26 in Geonetric’s café.

About the 2018 Operation Overnight Recipients:
Chains Interrupted began as a small committee of concerned people that grew over time to what it is today: a thriving, vibrant non-profit making a significant impact in our city, state, nation and world. Chains Interrupted seeks to be a powerhouse fighting against the evils of Human Trafficking until there is not one slave left in Iowa, the US and the world.
“As a very young nonprofit with so much more heart and passion for the broken and injured than technical savvy, we are ecstatic to be selected for this gift!” says Tish Young, Fundraising Chair, Chains Interrupted. “Our hope is for a much more professional, functional and visually appealing website that serves our team, those that need rescued and the community.”
Deafinitely Dogs! is a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of people with highly trained Service and Facility Dogs. Each dog is trained with only positive reinforcement and selected individually for a career that includes tasks they excel at doing, whether their job entitles being partnered with a person that has a disability but wants to live a more independent life or working as a Facility Dog to assist hundreds of people through unconditional love and interactive dog therapies.
“Deafinitely Dogs! is so honored and excited to have been chosen for Operation Overnight.” says Lorette Vanourny, Co-founder and Director of Operations, Deafinitely Dogs!. “Raising and training service dogs for our veterans and disabled children is extremely labor intensive and expensive. All of our resources are directed at that process…which means our website has been left behind. Because of OE, we will reach more people, increase donations, awareness and our capacity to serve. Operation Overnight is the catalyst for that! We are beyond thankful.”
Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation
The Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation was founded in the Fall of 2002 with the primary mission to provide financial assistance to cancer and blood disease patients in obtaining the prescription drugs needed for their treatment.
“When our board learned that The Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation had been selected for Operation Overnight, there was a simultaneous gasp around the table. ‘Really? REALLY?!’ And then there was applause!” according to Elaina Kempin, APG Foundation Board Vice President.
