Get to Know Geo: Heather Jurgenson

Senior Director, Account Strategy

How long have you been with Geonetric?

Six years.

Sum up your role in one sentence.

I partner with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into actionable strategies, ensuring the right solutions, processes, and resources are in place to drive successful outcomes.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of organizations and some incredibly bright minds across the industry. I’m energized by the ability to share insights and experiences while continuously learning and growing alongside both our clients and colleagues. The lasting relationships and friendships I’ve built throughout that journey are simply an added bonus.

What’s a trend or change in your area of expertise that you’re excited about right now?

It may sound cliché, but AI is undoubtedly the trend I’m most excited about right now. It’s fundamentally changing digital marketing and the strategic conversations we are having. What makes it so interesting is the pace of innovation. Just when you think you’ve figured out one aspect, something new emerges that changes the way you think about it. That constant evolution keeps us strategic thinkers on our toes and creates endless opportunities to learn, adapt, and uncover new ways to drive value for our clients.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I love spending time with my family & friends and am typically the coordinator of random events to get peeps together. Even at this age, I still have a competitive edge about me, I enjoy continuing my run streak that started April 6, 2020 – running every day at least 1 mile a day and I continue to register for races at a whim. I instruct kickboxing and strength training classes a couple of times a week and when I can get away from the Midwest, I’m really a beach girl at heart and love getting there as often as possible.

If you had to give a TED Talk tomorrow, what would it be about?

Discipline and grit – most people think that successful people are more motivated, but I think they are more comfortable being uncomfortable. Confidence often doesn’t come before action, it comes after. We need to train ourselves to be willing to be uncomfortable long enough to grow.

What are you listening to right now? (Album/artist, podcast, audiobook, etc.)

It’s always Eminem for the music and reading a lot of David Goggins.

What’s your most-used emoji right now?

 🫣

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
