Milford Regional Medical Center Selects Geonetric as Strategic Partner, Launches Responsive Website

New responsive site showcases the quality of care at Milford Regional Medical Center; highlights include patient testimonials and community blog.

Cedar Rapids, IA — June 18, 2014 — Milford Regional Medical Center, a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital located in Milford, MA, has partnered with Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, to build a new website. The new website, which launched today, is built using responsive principles and helps strengthen the medical center’s reputation for high quality and personalized patient care.

“Our most important stakeholders are our patients and our community, and we’re excited to have a new Web presence that lets us engage and communicate with them in new ways,” says Kathy Marceau, marketing and website coordinator, Milford Regional Medical Center. “We chose Geonetric as a strategic partner to help us connect with our community and give updates on important health topics and patient stories.”

Milford Regional’s new website is built on Geonetric's VitalSite® content management system (CMS) and uses responsive design, which allows the website to automatically rearrange content based on the screen size of the site user’s browsing device.

One of the highlights of the new site is the stay connected section, showcasing the medical center’s latest happenings and patient success stories through social media, videos and publications. This is also the home to Milford Regional’s TakeCare blog, a popular way the organization shares news, health tips and recipes with the community. There is also a user–friendly form in this section encouraging the public to share their experiences with Milford Regional.

All of the content on the site is presented responsively, including provider, location and service directories. The site offers robust calendar and events functionality with a shopping cart that allows site visitors to sign up and pay for multiple classes at once. The site also features cheer cards, allowing friends and family to send personalized notes to patients, care providers and employees directly from the website. As part of the project, Geonetric and Milford Regional worked together to restructure the site’s information architecture and labeling, to better connect patients to the wide range of services available at the medical center.
