Project Kickoff and Management

Each and every project follows a systematic kickoff and rollout process to ensure the most fluid execution of the design, architecture and VitalSite implementation. Using our Newton Project Management Extranet, you can access any comments or documents on your project at anytime, from anywhere. Even if team members are offsite or out sick, they can stay in the loop through tracked conversation threads, notes and attachments.

Geonetric provides an array of supporting documents and materials, including tips for writing on the Web, standard module implementation requirements, form specifications and more to streamline and ensure an accurate rollout process.

Technical Implementation & Module Development

After designs and content architecture are in place, the Geonetric technical team develops and deploys the site's HTML templates within VitalSite's core CMS component. SmartPanels, SmartSearch and Security Management are configured for your site, along with core features including Email a Page and Printer Friendly page versions.

Then the selection, definition, development and rollout of your site's interactive modules begin, including database, interface and administrative development, followed by 'train-the-trainer' education for key team members.

All aspects of your site go through a rigorous testing process before going live, including validators, link verifications, email and module functionality, as well as a live-environment re-evaluation.

Taxonomy & Integration of 3rd Party Content

Geonetric has a long-standing relationship with many health information organizations including A.D.A.M.®, HealthWise®, Kids Health® and Micromedex®.

Geonetric has devised a unique method of implementing third-party health content, utilizing a proprietary taxonomy integrated with indexing schemes provided by content vendors. This indexing method allows content to be matched to service lines, physician listings, classes and events and other content throughout your site quickly and easily.

Geonetric will work with your healthcare content vendor to retain the appropriate files and information to integrate the health information library data into the VitalSite system for use across multiple Web applications.
