Geonetric's strategic planning methodology focuses on setting goals, evaluating new opportunities, reviewing the competitive climate, comparing value and readiness and selecting the most appropriate revenue generating, cost saving or brand enhancing prospects.

Assessment of current site(s) ("current state")

Geonetric's experts will assess your current site(s) from various perspectives:

  • Key stakeholders
    • Marketing/Communications
    • Key service lines/departments that heavily utilize the site(s)
  • Audience perspectives
    • Clinicians
    • Business associates
    • Health consumers, etc.

The purpose of the assessment is to understand how the current site is used and prepare for the next generation.

With a completed assessment by Geonetric's experts, we then begin evaluating the future of the online initiative. This has three components:

  • A simple survey/poll on the site
    • How do you use the site today?
    • How could the site be more effective?
  • Stakeholder interviews (~25-30 mostly remotely)
    • How do you use the site today?
    • How could the site be more effective?
    • What are the key processes you're involved in today?
      • Detailed process walkthroughs to identify important gaps
  • Best Practices evaluation - Geonetric will provide recommendations on key attributes, including:
    • Search
    • Forms
    • Content/Document Management
    • Workflow/Collaboration
    • Content ownership/distribution/authorship
    • Other aspects as appropriate

Model financial impacts of key tactics (where appropriate)

Working with your team (and likely financial and strategy team members), we'll select 5-10 financial metrics to model to provide Return on Investment (or other measures) data about the initiatives we select.

Develop Strategic Implementation Plan

Based on the data gathered during Information Architecture and the research phases, Geonetric will develop an action plan/strategic implementation plan that lays out a 2-3 year sequence for prioritized improvements to the online presence(s).

  • Risk/Readiness/Reward
    • Places each option in context ranking from highest to lowest
    • Uses financial models as justification where possible and appropriate
  • Functional Prioritization
    • Provide prioritized feature implementation sequence
