Improve Internal Communication
Take Your Employee Communications to the Next Level
There's no doubt intranets are a powerful communication and productivity tool for hospitals. Here are three examples of the work we've done with hospitals and health systems over the past decade. You'll see how we've helped them manage stakeholder requests, develop engaging design, and most importantly, keep their intranets employee-focused at all times.

St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network had a vision of providing all employees easy access to information.
Geonetric helped St. Luke's create a new intranet, MyNet, which provides every employee - even those who don't have workstations - a way to access information. To do this, Geonetric built security into the intranet that allows remote access and accommodates employees who work within and out of the network locations.
MyNet also showcases Geonetric's exclusive Web-based Policy and Procedure Manager designed for the healthcare industry, as well as a CEO message and a rotating photo of the day.
Methodist Medical Center of Illinois - Peoria, Illinois
Methodist Medical Center of Illinois (MMCI) wanted to create a new intranet that would be a central place for employees to find everything. Previously, MMCI's employees used a shared drive to access important forms and documents, hardcopy phone books to find employees across the hospital, and company-wide emails to distribute information.
The new intranet, connectMe, showcases Geonetric's Employee Directory module which is integrated with Active Directory and updated nightly. The employee directory module offers a sophisticated search that produces results even if names aren't spelled correctly.
The intranet also features employee news, calendar and events, real-time updates of hospital news, and Geonetric's Policy and Procedure Manager.
Genesis Health System - Davenport, Iowa
Genesis Health System and Geonetric created their intranet to help the health system improve employee communications and reduce staff emails.
The health system branded the site GENnet and implemented a successful launch plan complete with onsite demos, challenges and prizes.
GENnet offers announcements, kudos cards, hospital news, calendar and events, forms, an education center, and an employee directory integrated with Active Directory. To ensure the site remains fresh, GENnet also features news of the day and a rotating photo on the home page. And to help employees keep policies and procedures organized and ensure compliance from the Joint Commission, GENnet utilizes Geonetric's Policy and Procedure Manager.
A great "before" story
Print out a PDF of this case study, make lots of copies and mail it to all employees. Or we can send you a 75MB high-res version to attach to an all-company e-mail.
Either is a great way to prove how much a new Geonetric-built intranet would increase efficiency and decrease costs.
