Applying for a job can be confusing and overwhelming - but never fear, our FAQs will answer questions you didn't even know you had.

What happens to my resume after I apply?
Your resumé will go to our human resources manager. Within a week of receiving it, she'll send you a confirmation email with an indication of when we might begin the interviewing process.
If for some reason you don't receive a confirmation, please contact us.

When will I know if I get an interview?
If you're selected for an interview, we'll email or call you with a list of available dates and times for the interview.

Will there be any initial tests/assessments required during the application process?
Most of our positions require a personality assessment test. This typically happens after your interview and can be completed at your home.
Some of our positions may also require a skill-related test, such as writing or coding. We'll let you know if that's applicable when we schedule your interview.

What if I have more questions regarding the position?
Call Geonetric at 319.221.1667 and ask to speak to the human resources manager. We'll give you a good scope of the position and the requirements.
And yes, you'll talk to a real person!

Why are some of your positions always posted on Geonetric.com?
We're always on the lookout for the next rock star for our team. So, we may post a few key positions on our Web site that we aren't currently filling, but plan to do so in the near future.
If you apply for a continuously posted position, we'll save your information until we're ready to begin the interview process.

Do I need to reapply if I have already submitted my resumé for another position?
If you're interested in an additional position at Geonetric, send an email to tell us which one caught your eye. If the new position requires the submission of a portfolio, we strongly suggest you reapply with the requested application materials.
If you haven't heard from us in awhile and the position you're interested in is still open, contact us. We may ask you to resend us your qualifications.

Are there internship or job shadow opportunities available?
Yes! We always encourage job shadowers to visit and learn more about what we do.
We often hire interns too, and we work with the internship programs at many local schools, including Coe College, Mount Mercy College, Kaplan University and the University of Iowa. Send us your resumé and we'll see if there's an opportunity available for you.

Do you offer remote work location options for employees?
All of our employees are located in our Cedar Rapids office, and we don't currently have remote work opportunities available.
Although many of our employees commute each day from surroundings areas, such as Waterloo, Iowa City and Davenport, we encourage our employees to live near Cedar Rapids. That's because we all think it's a pretty cool place to live and work.
