Two industry–leading companies collaborate to help hospitals meet Meaningful Use requirements and drive information technology adoption by patients and physicians.
Cedar Rapids, IA and Waltham, MA — April 19, 2012 — Geonetric and PatientKeeper®, both leaders in the healthcare information technology industry, today announced a strategic partnership to help hospitals enhance the physician-patient relationship and meet Meaningful Use requirements. As part of this partnership, Geonetric and PatientKeeper will offer a seamless integration between Geonetric's Patient Portal and the PatientKeeper Physician Portal™. Both companies pride themselves on delivering technology solutions that are intuitive to use and drive industry-leading levels of adoption.
The collaboration between Geonetric and PatientKeeper will enable hospitals to implement a user–friendly, 360–degree online information loop for physicians and patients.
"Both of our companies focus heavily on user adoption and together we can enhance the healthcare experience for both physicians and patients — which is a win–win for hospitals," says Eric Engelmann, president and CEO of Geonetric. "This becomes even more important as Stage 2 of Meaningful Use adds requirements and incentives for patient adoption."
Geonetric's Patient Portal software is designed to make the healthcare experience more engaging for health consumers by providing access to personal health information and enabling secure communication with care providers. With more than 40,000 physician users, PatientKeeper is the leading provider of physician healthcare information systems and delivers a suite of integrated applications that includes a market leading Physician Portal.
"Both PatientKeeper and Geonetric develop solutions that enable physicians and patients to focus on the patient's health, rather than having to deal with cumbersome technology," says Paul Brient, president and CEO of PatientKeeper. "This collaboration allows us to offer a solution to enable hospitals to meet all of the physician– and patient-facing Stage 2 Meaningful Use criteria and puts hospitals in a better position to drive quality, ensure regulatory compliance and improve administrative efficiency."
The partnership will be highlighted at Geonetric's annual client eHealth Symposium which will be held April 24–26, 2012 in Cedar Rapids, IA, and at the PatientKeeper User Group conference for clinical applications in Boston, May 6–8.
