Virtual treasure hunt scheduled to showcase the website's new design and functionality
Cedar Rapids, IA - November 5, 2009 - Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, and Mercy Medical Center (Mercy) recently unveiled a new website for the community hospital.
The new site features updated design, new functionality and more ties into the hospital's impressive social media presence. These site enhancements, coupled with the community-focused images and copy, reinforce the hospital's position ‘There's more to the Mercy touch.'
"The site is designed to meet the changing needs of today's media savvy healthcare consumer," says Melissa Erbes, Marketing Specialist at Mercy. "From design and content strategy to Flash guidance and ideas for promoting the launch, Geonetric has been instrumental in helping us build this new, improved door to Mercy."
Mercy has been planning a multi-channel marketing campaign promoting the launch the website for several weeks. They worked with Geonetric to create a virtual treasure hunt theme for the launch, encouraging site visitors to interact with new features, answer questions, and register to win a prize. Mercy has been promoting the launch and treasure hunt through many offline channels including print, billboards, and radio.
The campaign also has a strong social media presence including Facebook advertising, Facebook event set up, and numerous Twitter posts planned for the day of launch.
The site was built on Geonetric's award winning software, VitalSite, and features functionality that allows users to find doctors and services. It also offers calendar and events, pre-registration, bill payment, cheer cards, wellness tools and other eCommerce capabilities.
