Adventist HealthCare Partners with Geonetric to Advance New Patient Portal
Adventist HealthCare and Geonetric to develop new patient portal that will build long-term relationships between the health system and its patients.
Cedar Rapids, IA - October 1, 2009 - Health consumers are interacting with hospitals and doctors in new ways, turning to the Web to complete tasks that once required them to pick up the phone. Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, MD has seen this shift first hand. They began working with Geonetric three years ago, implementing an early version of the online solution provider's patient portal. Now, Adventist HealthCare and Geonetric are poised to build the health system, helping their more than 400,000 patients a year take a more active role in managing their health.
"Adventist HealthCare and Geonetric have a strong history," says Rick Rinaudot, eBusiness director of Adventist HealthCare. "This enhanced partnership will ensure our Web presence continues to meet our organizational goals and the evolving demands of our patients."
The new patient portal is set to launch later this quarter.
"At our recent client symposium we were able to share our vision for where the industry and our product are moving-toward more personalized online relationships between providers and patients," says Eric Engelmann, President and CEO at Geonetric. "Adventist HealthCare understands the value a patient portal gives both its health system and its patients. It's exciting to see the alignment of our vision with our clients' goals."
