Geonetric News Release
Geonetric's Engelmann Named One of Corridor 'Forty under 40'
Cedar Rapids, IA (Sept. 3, 2008) - In addition to managing a successful eHealth solutions company, Geonetric's president and CEO Eric Engelmann still makes it a priority to be involved in his community. As an active board member of the Cedar Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, he is an outspoken proponent of the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor that both he and his company call home. These are just a few of the reason's Engelmann was selected as one of the Corridor Business Journal's Forty under 40 honorees.
"I am passionate about promoting the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City region and am always looking for new and effective ways to recruit and retain employees," says Engelmann. "This has led me to join different community organizations and initiate important conversations about how we're going to keep smart, talented people in the area. It's up to business leaders to continue to make the Corridor a great place to live and work. I'm honored to be named to the list of forty under 40 and I think it gives recognition to a number of community-minded individuals who are constantly telling the Corridor story and trying to add new chapters."
Engelmann has provided strategic direction to Geonetric since he founded the company in 1999. He has led Geonetric to many astounding accomplishments, including being named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the country for the past two years, being recognized as one of the best places to work in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Corridor by The Edge Magazine, and being named Software Company of the Year in 2006 by the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI).
