The HistoryGeonetric was founded in 1999 by Eric Engelmann, the President and CEO. In the beginning, Geonetric built Websites and Web applications for companies in a variety of industries. Typical engagements included design, information architecture, research, and application development. Most were exciting, new ideas that no one had done before. Although some of these clients still work with Geonetric today, the real epiphany for the company's direction came in the middle of 2000. The TransformationGeonetric had been retained to build a prototype for a health system with three large hospitals in a geographically disperse area. The trick was that they needed to interrelate information across the system, with the individual sites sharing content, databases and third-party. Geonetric identified the need for a unified solution that could be applied to hospitals and health systems nationwide. The ability to create a virtual customer service center that utilizes the Web as the center of communication for an entire organization became the core of Geonetric's philosophy. In 2001, the focus on healthcare began and VitalSite was born. The FutureOver the past six years, Geonetric has transformed into a leading healthcare Web development and design firm. We continually utilize the newest technologies and stay on the cutting-edge of Internet development — we launched one of the first healthcare sites using .NET technology. We plan to continue our growth through new innovations, including our latest program, which helps forward-thinking healthcare organizations launch online initiatives faster and easier than traditional development methods. |
