Here are just a few of the ways Geonetric gives back:

GeoNeos

We're committed to supporting our clients' missions as they connect with their patients - and one of our efforts, GeoNeos, comforts the littlest members of their communities.

GeoNeos is comprised of employee volunteers who knit and crochet tiny items for client newborn nurseries. And we've been busy!

Since the start of the team in February 2009, GeoNeos has created 206 hats, booties and blankets, putting in a total of 215 volunteer hours.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters

We are proud to support and be a part of our local Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. The program allows adult mentors to spend time with young people in our community by fostering positive relationships. We even have some big brothers and sisters on staff.

Geonetric's "Bowling Alley Sallys" showcase their skills in the lanes every February for Bowl for Kids Sake to raise money for Eastern Iowa Big Brother/Big Sisters. In 2009, we raised more than $2,000!

Especially for You Walk/Run

Each October, we raise money for and participate in Mercy Medical Center's Especially for You Walk/Run for Breast Cancer.

Mercy's Especially for You® fund supports free mammograms and other breast-care services to women in need. Since the race began in 1991, the fund has helped 4,308 uninsured or underinsured women receive more than $1 million in breast-care services. Those services were used more than 8,100 times, covering screenings, diagnostic tests, ultrasounds and biopsies.

Relay for Life

Geonetric joins efforts with the American Cancer Society each year to raise money for cancer research through the annual Relay for Life program.

In 2009, we were a Bronze sponsor for this event and our team raised close to $3,000 for this great cause through some very creative fundraising events.

Holiday Giving

Giving joyfully resounds at Geonetric in December. In past seasons, our staff has had taken the opportunity to collect gifts for Waypoint, the local women's shelter and Angel Food Ministries, which provides groceries and financial support to those in need. We've also made and donated more than 40 blankets.

Geo Game Night

We play hard too! Every other month, we gather for a rousing evening of cards. And the winner donates the earnings to the organization of his or her choice.
